Libby Harrison
Libby Harrison (formerly Bancroft) is the founder of Add Lib. She has worked as a role player in multiple environments since 2004. Libby spent over ten years at Griffith University where she ran their Simulated Patient program, recruiting, training and managing 200 actors. Libby coordinated Griffith’s landmark 10 credit point course - 2002MED Introduction to Human Patient Simulation. Her conference presentations include ‘How to design and implement a successful Human Patient Simulation Program’ at both 2015 Newcastle AMEA and 2016 Perth ANZAHPE.
Libby is highly skilled in the academic applications of Simulated Patients as well as casting the most appropriate SPs for a client's scenario.
Libby works with management consultants, supplying role players to assist with training their clients in communication, empathy, and professionalism.

Add Lib Casting was created after identifying a gap in the market. Acting agencies have outstanding actors, but not trained Role Players/Simulated Patients. At Add Lib we understand that Role Playing, or acting for education, is a completely different form of acting to entertaining or selling a product.
At Add Lib we take all the hassle out of booking professional Role Players and Simulated Patients.
Simulated Patients offer a realism that even the best medical mannikin just cannot. Clients can book an SP for all the communication and realism of a patient having a heart attack, but then swap to the medical mannikin when it comes time for CPR.
Add Lib Simulated Patients are familiar with task trainers so your learners could practice cannula insertion, as an example, on a fake arm trainer, while gaining consent and building rapport with the SP that is 'wearing' the arm. We are all about being as realistic as possible while maintaining a safe environment.
SPs have worked across areas such as medicine, paramedicine, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, psychology, social work, speech therapy, nursing and occupational therapy.
